FRANCE - BEAUJOLAIS
BEAUJOLAIS
Every year, the third Thursday of November is
Beaujolais Nouveau day, where the new wines from
the latest harvest are enjoyed young and fresh, often
in a party atmosphere. Beaujolais is the southernmost
region of Burgundy but it enjoys a status of its own
due to its devotion to the Gamay grape and its distinct
style. Beaujolais Villages provides fruity, refreshing
wines which can be enjoyed chilled, Cru villages such
as Fleurie, Morgon and Julianas demonstrate the
highest quality the region can offer with wines
of depth and complexity.
