ETHO S TOWA RDS W INEMA KING?
As the harvest for the new vintage
begins, our ethos towards winemaking
remains rooted in the harmonious blend
of tradition and innovation. At the heart
of our approach is a deep respect for the
land and a commitment to sustainability.
We believe that exceptional wines are
born from meticulously cared-for vines,
and as such, we dedicate ourselves to
nurturing every vine with precision
and care. Our winemaking process is
a thoughtful blend of age-old techniques
and cutting-edge innovations, ensuring
each bottle embodies the unique
character of our Marlborough terroir.
This ethos not only guides us through
the harvest but also inspires our
continuous pursuit of excellence and
distinction in the world of wine.
BIG GEST CHA LL ENGE AT PR ESENT?
The biggest challenge to winemaking in
New Zealand at present is undoubtedly
climate change. The unpredictable
weather patterns, including unseasonal
rains, droughts, and temperature
fluctuations, pose significant risks to
viticulture. These challenges necessitate
a flexible and innovative approach to
vineyard management and winemaking,
requiring constant adaptation and
investment in sustainable practices to
ensure the quality and consistency
of our wines.
PR OUDEST ACHIEV EME NT?
Our proudest achievement to date as
a wine producer has been receiving global
recognition for our Estate Marlborough
Sauvignon Blanc. Wine Spectator 93 Point
consecutive accolade not only honoured
our dedication to creating a wine that
perfectly expresses its terroir but also
solidified our position as a leading local
winery on the international stage.
